Alcohol Testing (Breath and Saliva)

Fortier uses two types of methods for alcohol testing.

BAT/ Breath alcohol test – This is conducted by the donor blowing into a mouth piece that is connected to the breath alcohol machine. The machine then measures the amount of alcohol that is present in the body.

QUED – This is an alcohol test that is conducted by using a mouth swab. The donor inserts the mouth swab into the mouth and leaves it in for 2 minutes. The testing device then measures the amount of alcohol that is present in the body. If the level of alcohol is .02 or above then confirmation testing must be conducted on the BAT machine.

What Our Clients Say:

We implemented the Tennessee Drug-Free Workplace Program in 1998 with the guidance of Fortier, who has conducted our Supervisor’s Two-Hour Training and our Employee One-Hour Training each year. We find that these training sessions are carried out in a professional manner, but with enough informality to keep people’s attention so that they actually learn the material being presented.
