Background Checks

Fortier can conduct the following Background checks:

County Criminal Report – This report takes approximately 2 to 3 business days and will include a social security trace. It will include felony and misdemeanor crimes reported in the county searched.

Social Security Trace Only – A social security trace will verify the name and address to which the social security number is assigned. This trace typically lists the last three addresses of the applicant as well as the previous employers.

Motor Vehicle Report Only – A motor vehicle report will require a copy of the applicant’s driver’s license and/or the driver’s license number. This report will be from the state where the applicant is licensed.

Workers Compensation Report Only – Where this search is available and falls within the American and Disabilities Act (ADA), we will report any worker’s compensation claim or record available at the state Department of Labor. Not all states offer this service. This report may include date(s) of injury, amounts of compensated, litigation pending and other information regarding the claim.

Statewide Criminal Record Search – We will conduct a search of a statewide records database consisting of felonies and/or misdemeanors. Not all states offer this service and some states don’t have complete records.

Credit Checks – Reports include account payment history, liabilities and public record information.
