Benefits of Fortier
WHY SHOULD YOU CHOOSE FORTIER?
As an independent agent of our clients, Fortier Substance Abuse Testing is able to constantly review the price and service provided by the laboratory, medical review officer and collection sites. Fortier’s mission is exactly the same as our clients’, we have a vested interest in the quality of the services we oversee.
WE PROVIDE OUR CLIENTS WITH:
Unlike in-house management programs, Fortier clients’ management and staff are completely removed from imparting bias to their programs. Our independent operation is a valuable component of random testing, interpretation of test results and implementation of all aspects of the testing program. As an independent manager, Fortier is able to provide unquestionable, ongoing compliance and unbiased statistical information to client management who can benefit from the program’s effectiveness versus constantly overseeing its operation.
There are three primary facets to a drug test: 1. collection, 2. laboratory analysis and 3. medical review. Tests are often delayed, lost or even reported incorrectly. Solving these problems can involve any or all of the three facets. These problems are always time consuming. Fortier clients, who discover a problem, are able to resolve the issue by making one telephone contact—always to Fortier. Our staff quickly identifies the problem, corrects the delay, implements changes to avoid future delays and reports back to the necessary company official. Problems that may take in-house managers or even the laboratory days to resolve are often corrected by Fortier within hours.
Here are 10 reasons why companies choose us:
1. Excellent Personalized Customer Service.
Are you tired of having to directly call the lab and be placed on hold for over 20 minutes just to get information on a test result? Your only contact needs to be Fortier. 2. Variety of Reporting Options.
Fortier as a Third Party Administrator will report your results by phone, fax, e-mail, or postal mail. Do you want certain departments to receive certain results? Or possibly have negatives go to one person, while positives go to another? Fortier will work with you to determine the best protocol for reporting your results.
3. Alternative Testing Methods.
Urine drug screening is the primary testing method used. The reason for this is because urine drug screening is the only testing method that is approved for Department of Transportation testing. However, we offer alternative testing methods that include saliva testing, hair testing, and rapid result testing. We will help you find the best mix of testing methods for your substance abuse program.
4. Nation-Side Collection Site Set-Ups.
Is that collection site too far away? Just call Fortier and we can set you up with a collection site in your area. We maintain a system of thousands of collection sites across the country to perform your drug screen collection.
5. Easy Account Set-Up.
It's simple to set up a new account for your company or make changes to an existing account. Just call our office!
6. 24/7/52 Service.
You can get in touch with Fortier 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Our after-hour services include the ability to do collection site set-ups nationwide for random, post accident, and for-cause testing. In middle Tennessee, Fortier will actually conduct onsite testing whether it be at a hospital or your workplace. All you have to do is call 615-883-6962!
7. Random Testing Pool.
Fortier always recommends including random testing in your substance abuse program. Random testing is a huge deterrent from drug and alcohol abuse, because your employees know that their name could be pulled at anytime! Fortier's random selections are computer generated and are completely random. For companies with less than 20 Department of Transportation (DOT) employees, Fortier has a DOT Driver pool available to meet regulations. For all non-DOT companies, Fortier will help you decide what percentage of your company should be pulled monthly, quarterly, or annually.
8. Substance Abuse Education/Awareness.
Supervisor training is a critical part of a successful drug free workplace program. We provide Supervisor and Employee substance abuse education. Fortier provides a live seminar at our corporate office every other month. We can also come onsite to conduct this training. This class covers the TN Drug Free Workplace Rules, the most common drugs of abuse, signs and symptoms of drug and alcohol abuse, the testing process, how to conduct for-cause testing, and more. This class can meet the requirements of other state drug free workplace requirements. Fortier also offerss the drug and alcohol education required by DOT for supervisors.
9. Access to Employee Assistance Programs.
With every positive drug screen comes a goal to get this employee help. Fortier has a list of thousands of treatment programs throughout the country.
10. Blind Specimen Audits of Laboratories.
To maintain quality control, Fortier periodically submits blind specimens spiked with illicit drugs to the laboratory.
